Working with a small gelli-plate and various botanicals, you will create monotype prints that will be incorporated into a concertina book. The color and printing possibilities are endless. You will use a small 3" x 5" gel printing plate with botanicals, and learn multicolor techniques—layering colors and playing with pattern. Learn how to pull a second "ghost" print. Try painting directly on the plate using soft-tipped tools like paint brushes or cotton tipped swabs. This small size plate is ideal for creating fine art prints that we will mount onto a 6 page concertina book with covers. Additionally these monotype botanical prints can be used as tags, personal or holiday cards, or for journal pages.
